Berkeley City Club Wedding

It’s no secret that the Berkeley City Club is one of my absolute favorite spaces in the Bay Area. As soon as you step foot in this Julia Morgan hotel you are reminded by it’s rich history and incredible attention to detail. The light! The color! Everything about this eccentric building is so captivating, and Jenna and Chase blended into the scenery so effortlessly. Their wedding day was full of light, color, giggles, tears, and overflowing LOVE. I’m so honored they chose me to be there to document this chapter.

Jenna and Chase got ready in separate hotel rooms, and when the final getting ready touches were complete, we made our way downstairs to meet in the courtyard for their first look. Any nerves soon dissipated when Chase set eyes on his beautiful bride-to-be. We did a quick exploration of the grounds and snapped some stunning portraits before the ceremony.

During the ceremony, a live webcam was set up so absent friends and family could watch the celebration from afar. Heartfelt vows were shared, rings exchanged, and the Motley’s sealed the deal with the sweetest kiss. Unfortunately their little corgi, Walter, could not be there, but he was there in spirit (aka cookie form) at every guest’s place setting. Guest’s names were presented in wine corks and the “table numbers” were composed of postcards of places the Motley’s held dear to their hearts.

After some beautiful testimonies to their love and character, we snuck out to the Berkeley City Club’s rooftop to catch some golden-hour portraits. Upon returning to the party, Jenna ditched her magenta pumps and slipped on some white Vans. This is the moment I knew it was time to kick off THEE most lit dance party!! To this day, Jenna still holds the record for most time on the dance-floor out of any of my brides :)
