I’ve been dreaming of doing a Tahoe session since moving to Sacramento last year, so when Perry let me know they were in town visiting family and wanted to do their session there I was stoked! Honestly shooting in new locations/lighting can be really intimidating and when I tried to get to the gorgeous lookout spot I had planned the road was closed for construction! I was checking out popular hiking trails on my phone and trying to find another location that would work. As I was driving around Donner Lake, I actually pulled off the side of the road to check my phone for a new trail, and BAM! right there in front of me was the most magical wooded area. I got out my car and explored for a little bit and knew that this would be the perfect spot at sunset.
