Giulia & Bryan are both from Orlando, FL and were high school sweethearts! When Giulia first inquired she actually explained that they grew up on the SAME STREET but only connected when they were 17 and 18 - how crazy is that?

Berkeley City Club Wedding | Samah+Ahmed
Samah and Ahmed met in Japan and they say it was truly love at first sight. Both Samah and Ahmed attended grad school at UCLA, and were literally in the same building, but their paths never crossed until they were thousands of miles away. How crazy is that?!
They had their ceremony down in LA and then opted to host an intimate dinner celebration at Berkeley City Club. It’s no secret that this is one of my absolute favorite venues. Not only is BCC rich in history and designed by California’s first licensed female architect (Julia Morgan) but every inch is stunning.

Six months ago I attended Unravel Workshop and it was hands down the best thing I’ve ever done for my business. I met some of the most creative souls and learned SO many valuable things. Sure, I learned how to take better photos, evoke better emotions, edit more consistently, but I think the most eye-opening thing was being reminded how powerful my job is. After the wedding day (or any session) I am literally the only person that is left with those tangible memories. Pretty scary thought… you bet I back those suckas up to 4 different hard-drives now.

Exactly one month ago Broc and I got engaged!!! On the three year anniversary from our first kiss, Broc slipped this rose gold beauty on my hand while we were snowboarding in Tahoe.
Our proposal story begins like most: one person acting weird and the other cold and irritated. Broc had set it up to propose at the 2pm Northstar Tōst, but it was snowing so hard that it was canceled that day. Broc was acting sketchy all day, and when he didn’t want to drink a beer at the lodge, I knew something was seriously off. He was on his phone and said he wanted to meet up with friends, but he was actually trying to still set it up in secret with the manager.

Molly & Keith both currently attend graduate school in Chicago, but are originally from the Bay Area. After reaching out a few months ago, we emailed back and forth and were able to coordinate their engagement session while they were home visiting family. We were a little worried about the unpredictable December weather, but the weather was perfect and we were #blessed with the most amazing sunset!!
Molly and Keith couldn’t take a bad photo if they tried. I can’t wait to see them in their wedding getup next September for their Nestldown wedding! (Also, La Croix if you’re reading this please sponsor us)

WOWOWOW. After rescheduling Olivia & Nate’s engagement session a few times due to the crazy Bay Area weather (excessive smoke and then excessive rain), we were finally blessed with this MAGICAL foggy morning. I went out to Mt Diablo in Walnut Creek on a sunny day and scouted this perfect spot, but of course by the time the session rolled around the weather had totally flipped. Classic Bay Area. The fog was so heavy at some points I couldn’t even see 10 feet in front of me. Rather than reschedule again, we decided to power through and I’M SO GLAD WE DID.

Seth and Elena met in eighth grade and have been together for 11 years!! LOL WHUT. Seth sealed the deal and proposed to Elena this April in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The love they have for each other is so easy to see and I’m so stoked that I have the honor of photographing their wedding next June!!
We chose to do their engagement session at China Beach and this September evening was so perfect, we pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves.

Yayyy to Mr & Mrs Defazio!! Lexie & Brandon booked me for their wedding at the beginning of 2017 so it’s safe to say this day was pretty HIGHLY anticipated.
Lexie's day started how most wedding days (or any) should start: mimosas with the girls while getting their glam on. The boys gathered at Brandons family house for BBQ, beers, and boy things.

Do you ever look at two people hopelessly in love and feel… repulsed?
That’s how I sometimes feel as a person in love. It’s ten times worse when you’re the lonely person out of love. I’ve been there, too.
A few weeks ago on a five-hour flight, I sat next to a man in his fifties with pretentious being his main personality trait. Just some foreword: I despise airplane conversation. Not a fan. It’s like a never-ending elevator ride. I hate it so much that sometimes when my phone dies, I keep my headphones in and occasionally bop my head to keep up the elusion that I’m listening to music.

This past weekend Broc and I decided to head up to Tahoe with one of his best friends, Brandon, and his beautiful fiancee, Lexie. We took our little pup, Loki, so he could experience his first snow... and snow is what we got!
We went straight to Boreal Mountain for their $15 college student Friday's (my 2011 ID from my one semester is still going strong - heck yeah!) and drove straight into a winter wonderland. Loki got out of the car and preceded to go absolutely nuts digging and eating the snow which was pretty adorable. I like to think that as a husky he's had daily dreams of running across big, snowy plains and all his dreams were suddenly coming true when his four little paws hit that white fluff.
