Valerie and Sam, where to begin?! First thing to note is that yes, this is a real couple, and no, they are not in fact models hired for a wedding magazine. When Val first reached out to discuss their wedding day plans, I immediately searched up Ardenwood Historic Farms and started to envision all the dreamy photos we were going to capture.

Well, hello there. Let me just start by staying this styled shoot is nothing like I imagined it would be… but that seems to be the theme for 2020, doesn’t it? For starters, it definitely didn’t involve me being on the other side of the camera!

It’s no secret that the Berkeley City Club is one of my absolute favorite spaces in the Bay Area. As soon as you step foot in this Julia Morgan hotel you are reminded by it’s rich history and incredible attention to detail. The light! The color! Everything about this eccentric building is so captivating, and Jenna and Chase blended into the scenery so effortlessly.

What a hidden gem! The Barns at Cooper Molera is a little oasis in Monterey, tucked just off the coast. The adobe is historic and dates all the way back to 1827! The Barns have been beautifully updated to host romantic and intimate events such as Nicole & Kyle’s summer wedding. This venue was a PERFECT backdrop for Nicole’s vision of jewel tones, greenery and soft candlelight. Can we just pause a second and look at all those floral and table details?! I tried to cull it down to a few of my faves but they truly need their own blog post.
I had the pleasure of meeting Nicole & Kyle a few months before their wedding day to take their engagement photos and learn a little more about their love story. With an intimate wedding guest list of just 50, they were really able to focus on the little things and spend quality time with each guest.

Oh my gosh, where to begin?! I’ve been looking forward to this day ever since Michelle first inquired. These two are absolute perfection and have thee most rom-com love story of all time! This is their story in Michelle’s words:
"A little over a year ago I was t-boned by a big construction truck on the way to work. My car was totaled, but I was okay. My paramedic, Alan, was incredibly cute and friendly & made the whole situation a million times better. I later found out that he wanted to get my number but was worried it would be unethical. A month later, my roommate convinced my to sign up for Bumble, where lo and behold, I found my cute paramedic. He proposed almost exactly a year later."
Sounds like the plot of a Hallmark movie right?
Read MoreMendocino Wedding | Cassy + Richard
When Cassy and Richard first reached out about their Mendocino wedding I was STOKED. I had only been to this part of northern California once before and I couldn't wait to get back to the gorgeous Highway 1 views.
We started the day at the MacCallum House where they were both getting ready. Cassy looked drop dead gorgeous in her Made With Love dress and all her girls lost it when they saw her done up and ready. We then drove to a beautiful bluff overlooking the turquoise blue water where Richard and Cassy had their first look. The ceremony took place on the cliffside underneath this stunning natural tree arch. We then headed back to MacCallum house for some dinner and dancing to cap off this perfect day! Oh, also please note their puppy, Ollie, looking incredibly dapper in his bowtie.

Alex & Ben tied the knot at the beautiful Julia Morgan Ballroom right in the heart of San Francisco. It’s not often that I get to shoot a wedding strictly in the city and I loved getting creative in the concrete jungle. The Porush wedding was a classy affair; with the bridesmaids wearing all black, the men in tuxes, and the ballroom decked out in incredible florals by The Bloom Bar Co.
After their first look in the Omni Hotel lobby, we took to the streets to get some killer bridal party shots. The day was filled with many fun traditional Jewish wedding events like the Tish, followed by the signing of the Ketubah. The ceremony took place in the grand lobby before we moved upstairs for the festivities. The night was filled with many great toasts, an epic Hora dance and a live band that rocked the party all night.

Yay!! These babes are married!!
Seth & Elena have been together for eleven years, so to say this day was highly anticipated by their friends and family would be an understatement! Elena and Seth met in middle school and have been this inseparable power couple since. The day was filled with SO MUCH love, laughs, and possibly the BIGGEST and most beautiful bridal party ever. They Greek danced the night away and ended with a bang (back when sparklers were allowed in CA!)

Finishing weddings is always bittersweet for me; I can’t wait to deliver their beautiful photos but it also means our time has come to an end. I first met Pritika & Drew over coffee last summer, and after learning that our visions for photography clicked, we went ahead and shot their engagement photos and secured their date for May 2019.
Pritika was the most stunning bride and was literally glowing all day. Drew was looking dapper and had somehow grown even taller since we did their engagement photos. Their friends and family showered them with so much love and the whole day was magical.

Samah and Ahmed met in Japan and they say it was truly love at first sight. Both Samah and Ahmed attended grad school at UCLA, and were literally in the same building, but their paths never crossed until they were thousands of miles away. How crazy is that?!
They had their ceremony down in LA and then opted to host an intimate dinner celebration at Berkeley City Club. It’s no secret that this is one of my absolute favorite venues. Not only is BCC rich in history and designed by California’s first licensed female architect (Julia Morgan) but every inch is stunning.
